RoadSide Diversion

RoadSide Diversion System

Trash and road runoff that is collected by an open ditch also is covered by the "Clean Water Act". This scenario illustrates a simple way to stop this pollution from reaching a waterway.
A cross weir diverts the runoff into an energy dissipation structure, then into a SNOUT equipped structure that traps floatable debris, trash, and free oils on the surface with the heavier suspended solids settling out in the deep sump.

The long box illustrated is particularly effective at settling solids due to the extended retention time and two direction changes.
